Dive watches don’t always have to be taken seriously! When it comes to playful takes on a tool watch, we can’t think of a better platform to mix in vibrant color combinations and a touch of whimsy.

Farer, a small independent watch company based out of London, has developed a reputation for producing accessibly-priced timepieces with eye-catching colorways and designs that have become a calling card for the brand since they opened up shop in 2015.

Their AquaMatic collection made its debut in 2022, and is the brand's take on a midsize diver. As fans have come to expect from Farer, the AquaMatic features a number of lively attributes.

ThisAquaMatic - a Cribbar — is named after Cornwall's biggest wave. This 30 foot wave makes an appearance only a few times year when conditions align and cause swells to crest over a reef from which it takes its name. This model features a 38.5mm stainless steel case with a red aluminum rotating bezel, sapphire crystal and a signed screw-down crown with the brand’s signature bronze inset. Its luminous gloss black dial features a contrasting light blue minute track, red luminous 'broad arrow' handset, a day-date window at 3 o’clock and a yellow pointer seconds hand.

Fitted to its chapter ring matching light blue pass-through nylon strap with stainless steel hardware, it also includes a black rubber strap and a multilink stainless steel bracelet with a signed locking clasp. Powered by a self-winding Selitta SW220-1 movement and offering 200 meters of water resistance, the AquaMatic is a robust diver's instrument and a decidedly fun take on an otherwise serious category of wristwatch.
